SCHOLARSHIPS
Passport to Adaptive Outdoor Adventures

Passport to Adaptive Outdoor Adventures

Each year Therapeutic Adventures, Inc. awards scholarships to individuals who would not otherwise be able to participate in TA programs without financial aid.  Approaching 3 decades of service, thousands of clients with differing abilities -- physical or developmental disabilities, chronic medical conditions or other special health needs have participated in our adaptive outdoor programs, camps, retreats  and other special services including: alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, sailing, fly fishing, kayaking, canoeing, camping, backpacking, rock climbing, and hand-crank marathon racing.

Our Passport to Adaptive Outdoor Adventures is a special scholarship program serving:  youth, teens, adults, seniors, women, Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans. Scholarships are made available to our clients through the generosity of businesses, foundations, civic groups, private individuals, alumni and friends donating to our Passport to Adaptive Outdoor Adventures program

The nominal programs fees charged to clients do not reflect the overall cost of operating an adaptive program.  Through donations and scholarships, we have been able to provide financial assistance and underwrite the partial or full cost of operating our Therapeutic Adventures programs. We are proud of the fact that No one has ever been denied the opportunity to participate in our adaptive outdoor programs due to an inability to pay.

Using trained and enthusiastic volunteers to help staff our programs enables us to keep our program expenses to a minimum. Moreover, our partnerships with other non-profit organizations help to keep our program expenses to a minimum.
