Adaptive Outdoor Safety Council (AOSC)
Our AOSC has developed industry standards, ”best practices“, and a ”Code of Ethics“ to promote safety, education, leadership, stewardship and protection of the outdoor environments where adaptive outdoor activities are offered and enjoyed.
Adaptive Guides - Outdoor Leadership School (AG-OLS)
Our AG-OLS is a curriculum of leadership development, critical thinking and decision making, safety, ethics and adaptive outdoor skills development used to train our adaptive outdoor leaders.
Adaptive Equipment Design (R&D)
Therapeutic Adventures, Inc. works to design and develop cost effective adaptive outdoor equipment to help provide greater access to the outdoors for persons with differing abilities (physical and developmental disabilities).
Independence Lodge
Independence Lodge, home for many Therapeutic Adventures programs, is situated slope-side at Massanutten Resort. The lodge seeks to house and embrace adaptive programs and participants, while embodying the nature and objectives of those programs with its built form.
Park to Park 1/2 Marathon
An inclusive race for runners and wheelchair athletes using hand-cycles, each spring the beautiful streets and parks from Waynesboro to Stuarts Draft, VA welcome competitors as they participate in the annual Park to Park 1/2 Marathon.
